How do I get credits to Curated by Canal?

Is there a limit to how much I can earn?

Where do I go to refer someone?

Refer brands by going to the Refer & Earn section of the app. You can invite anyone via email, or using your custom link.

Who can I refer?

You can invite any brand that has an online store! Canal offers both a native Shopify app and a custom API solution to facilitate partnerships between any stores.

When do I get my rewards?

If you invite a new direct partner to Canal, you will get waived Canal fees on your relationship for 90 days, starting the day your partner downloads the app.

Additionally, if anyone you invite (Direct Partner or Friend) makes 10 sales in 90 days, you’ll both earn $100 to our rewards store— Curated by Canal.

  • If you referred a Storefront, they will need to make 10 sales of items powered by Canal.
  • If you referred a Supplier, they will need to sell 10 items through a Canal-powered Storefront.

You can expect your credits via email within 7 days of your referral making their 10th sale. This goes to the primary email address on the account, so make sure it’s up to date!

Who is considered a direct partner?

A direct partner is someone you hope to partner with to sell goods.

  • If you are in the Supplier app, you’ll be able to invite a Direct Storefront. This should be a brand that you want to sell your goods.
  • If you are in the Storefront app, you’ll be able to invite a Direct Supplier. This should be a brand who’s goods you want to sell on your store.
Who is considered a friend?

A friend is someone you think would be interested in joining Canal, not necessarily as a direct partner. For example, you might have a friend at a company that wants to set up a marketplace similar to yours, or they may want to be a Supplier on Canal.

When you invite a friend, they will receive more general information about both the Canal for Storefronts and the Canal for Supplier apps. They can pick which app best suits their needs, or sign up for both!

What if the brand is already using Canal?

If a brand you would like to partner with is already using Canal, invite them like you would any other partner. Once they receive and accept your invitation, you will be able to create a proposal to sell their products.

However, brands that are already on Canal are ineligible for waived Canal fees and Refer + Earn credits. A brand is also ineligible if they already have one of the Canal apps and they are referred to download the other app.
